Why not a little mystery KAL to celebrate spring ?
Particularly when it’s a lace shawl designed by Ambre from the
Nid de Vigogne.
Following in the same theme as her collection of
beautiful ornithologically inspired shawls,
this mystery shawl has been named
« Gobemouche » (Flycatcher in English).
Insofar as the designer has suggested using a blue-green yarn for this project, I can’t help but think of the beautiful Blue Flycatcher ...
Pourquoi pas un petit KAL mystère pour célébrer l’arrivée du printemps ?
Surtout quand il s’agit d’un châle en dentelle d’Ambre du Nid de Vigogne.
Suivant le même esprit de sa collection de beaux châles d’inspiration ornithologique,
ce châle mystère s'appelle « Gobemouche ».
Dans le mesure où la créatrice du châle nous suggère un fil bleu-vert, on ne peut que penser au magnifique gobe-mouche bleu ...
And what a wonderful coincidence ! I think that I have the perfect wool to make this shawl.
Do you remember the beautiful white
fleece from Hervé Vaillant that I dyed ? It’s the fleece from a white Ouessant ewe, National French Champion in 2011 and National Grand Champion in 2012.
Et quelle coïncidence ! Je pense avoir la laine qu’il faut pour faire ce châle.
Vous vous rappelez de la belle toison de chez Hervé Vaillant que j’ai teinte ?
C’est la toison d'une brebis blanche, Prix d'Honneur en 2011 et Grand Prix d'Honneur des Champions en 2012.
That being said, even if Mr. Blue Flycatcher has the most spectacular plumage, Mrs. Blue Flycatcher's feathers are rather dark and discreet !
Pourtant, même si le plumage du Monsieur Gobe-mouche Bleu est spectaculaire, celui de Madame Gobe-mouche Bleu est bien plus sombre et discret.
This brown-grey color makes me think of the beautiful fleece of Praline, a brown Ouessant ewe.
Cette couleur brune grisonnante me fait penser à la belle toison de Praline, brebis Ouessant brune.
As for the « Gobemouche » shawl, I need to choose between Mr. and Mrs. ...
Quant au châle « Gobemouche », il me faut choisir entre Monsieur et Madame ....
... either a lovely brown yarn at 20 wpi or a beautiful blue-green yarn at 30 wpi.
A pretty difficult choice .... humm ... perhaps I need to think about making two shawls !
